2-Hour Prospector Snowmobiling Tours are ideal for groups, families and individuals wanting to explore a variety of snowmobile terrain in the presence of Colorado’s most dramatic scenery. The Prospector is the most popular snowmobile tour for couples riding together, families with child passengers and guests who prefer a more moderate, scenic tour of the area.

Your adventure begins near 10,000 feet, with a tutorial outlining the operation of your snowmobile, followed by a practice session to become better acquainted with its handling. Here, children up to 70 lbs can try out snowmobiling for themselves, with a brief opportunity to ride child-sized snowmobiles that are provided free of charge.

Snowmobilers then embark on a ride through a groomed, forested trail system that opens to stunning vistas of Turquoise Lake and Colorado’s highest peaks – Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive.

Complimentary cups of steamy hot chocolate are available at the snowmobile base camp prior to and after this tour. A professional photographer is also available on site.
