BBQ Challenge Kick Off Concert (Madison Avenue & Main Street)

Join us as Frisco welcomes BBQers from around the country for a FREE event kick off concert. Alcoholic beverages (no BBQ until Friday) will be available for purchase.

  • Outside alcohol and pets are prohibited at this concert.
  • Only cash and credit cards will be accepted at Thursday’s concert.
  • Hogbacks will NOT be sold or accepted at Thursday’s concert.

Each Independence Day, Breckenridge kicks off the party with a 10K trail run, followed by the Firecracker 50 mountain bike race and the Main Street parade. Family activities, live music, a performance by the National Repertory Orchestra and an extraordinary fireworks display close out the night. Don’t miss Breckenridge Creative Arts’ Street Arts Festival, which celebrates street, pavement and graffiti arts with outdoor murals, installations, workshops and pop-up art.

Over 80 artists from throughout the country convene in the beautiful River Run Village at Keystone. Come ready to shop until your heart’s content and come home with that one of a kind piece of art to always remind you of Keystone and your time in the mountains. The art festival is a juried event so artists will be showcasing their finest works. Join us for a mountain weekend with an artsy twist and enjoy all that Keystone summer has to offer.

This outdoor gallery style art festival will showcase a variety of handmade art and unique gift items as well as functional pieces.  The Festival appeals to all tastes and budgets, offering a wide array of artistic media. Art enthusiasts will be able to explore the diverse exhibits and learn more about the artists and their creative processes. The exhibiting artists, both local and national, will be present for the duration of the festival and welcome the opportunity to discuss their work.  The vast array of original art will include paintings, sculptures, photography, ceramics, glass, wood, handmade jewelry, collage, mixed media and much more. Advance tickets are $25/adult (ages 13+) and $15/child (ages 4-12). Advance tickets must be purchased by 5pm the day before the tour.

Day-of tickets are $30/adult (ages 13+) and $20/child (ages 4-12).

Online tickets must be purchased an hour before the start time of the tour; tickets purchased within an hour of the tour cannot be processed and will not be valid for the tour selected. If within an hour of the tour time or the tour is sold out, please call 970-453-9767 x2 for availability.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are required 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the tour to receive a refund.

Each year, New Orleans visitors and Mardi Gras lovers take over Breckenridge with masks, boas, beads, music and revelry to commemorate the carnival season. Join us on Main Street for a New Orleans-Style Mardi Gras party!

Breckenridge Mardi Gras will kick off in style starting at 4:30pm on Tuesday, Feb 13 with our annual Mardi Gras parade. End the celebration with a free concert at the Riverwalk Center with the Lowdown Brass Band, also featuring the Paulaner Salvator Festival (strong beer for $4).

The Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival is one of the coolest events of the spring in the Colorado Rockies!  Featuring brews, views and free live music, the Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival is an event you don’t want to miss.

Join the Town of Breckenridge as we clean the streets of Breckenridge after the snow melts – and get a free breakfast & lunch accompanied by live music performed by Home Grown Mountain Jams at a gathering after clean up as a “thank you” for your efforts.

EVENT DETAILS

Meet on the Riverwalk Center, 150 W Adams Breckenridge CO 80424. Clean up check-in begins at 9:00am and that is where participants can pick up canvas gloves, orange bags and receive area assignments (or just go to their favorite clean up spot).  Participants will also receive free breakfast and coffee provided by Breckenridge Market & Liquors and LoLo Juice. Please bring your own reusable coffee mug! Afterwards, join us for an appreciation BBQ including free food, free beer (while supplies last) with live music and raffle prizes!

TIPS

  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and comfortable walking shoes.
  • Take our FREE transit system to and from the Riverwalk Center – www.breckfreeride.com
  • Pick out a spot you see or walk every day and plan to do clean up there or be assigned to a location.
  • Bring lots of family and friends- it makes the morning go a lot faster.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION BBQ

After clean up, there will be some live music and Town Council members will be grilling up and serving food at the Riverwalk Center!

All food waste will be composted and all supplies will be recyclable when available – so there will be minimal waste going to the landfill after this event. This year we also rented reusable dishware, glasses and silverware to reduce waste.  Breckenridge strives to be environmentally friendly with our events and walks the walk with our Zero Waste Picnic Lunch which is a “thank you” to volunteers.  Please bring your own reusable cups and dishes to join in our efforts!

DOOR PRIZES

Several local businesses have been kind enough to donate some amazing gift certificates and prizes to be given away at the event as a “thank you” to lucky volunteers!  There are both children & adult categories of prizes to be won!

In case of inclement weather the event will be moved inside the Riverwalk Center- rain, snow or shine!
