Spring Skiing Is Right Around the Corner

The 2020/2021 ski season is shaping up beautifully! More than 120 inches of snow has fallen so far this season at Breckenridge Ski Resort with 125 trails open as we roll into March. Thirty-one of the resort’s lifts are now turning, providing access to Breck’s five huge peaks and some of Colorado’s best high alpine terrain.

Soft snow is steadily falling and, thanks to Breckenridge’s 9,600-foot base elevation, late winter and early spring mean abundant powder and prime conditions. Get excited for one of the longest running ski seasons of any major resort in the country as Breck continues to extend its season through Memorial Day.

Spring fun, sun, après and skiing are here to stay! Grab your sunglasses and party pants and get ready for plenty of opportunities to kick back and work on your goggle tan.

Snow or shine, the Grand Colorado on Peak 8 is waiting to host your most epic days of the season. Make memories enjoying the latest base area amenities. Spin around the new Peak 8 public ice-skating rink overlooking town and the sprawling surrounding mountain ranges.

Stop into Ullr Café for a full specialty coffee menu, Colorado beer and regional wines from one of 14 pour-it-yourself taps. Nibble on breakfast burritos paired with Ullr Cafe’s famous loaded Bloody Mary complete with olives, pepperoncini, pickle, lime, cheese, bacon and a pig in a blanket served in a souvenir mug. Hang out on the heated all-season outdoor patio or head over to Robbie’s Tavern for slopeside cocktails and appetizers with awesome people watching steps from the Colorado and Rocky Mountain SuperChair lifts.

Enjoy the ease and convenience of the new 22,000-square-foot base facility that consolidates Breckenridge Ski Resorts’ ski and snowboard school, childcare, retail, gear rentals and lift ticket windows into a single indoor stop. Use the new escalator to access the Peak 8 base and take advantage of the gondola, town bus stop or short-term skier drop-off lot.

Breckenridge Grand Vacations invites owners and overnight guests to play in the Building 3 aquatics area. The indoor/outdoor pool, zero-entry children’s pool and luxury outdoor infinity hot tub overlook the slopes and all of the Peak 8 action. The exclusive Elev8 Lounge opens on the rooftop with outdoor grills, padded seating around fire pit tables, happy hour and private events. Sensational views of the resort, Bald Mountain and the Continental Divide make for an unforgettable sunset scene.

The Peak 8 transformation continues inside Building 3 on the fourth floor, where a 15-seat private owners movie theater with reclining chairs and over 300 movies to choose from. Also on the fourth floor, an all-ages Escape Room welcomes 10 people at a time to solve clues and work together to make it out of the Breckenridge mining history-themed room.

Soak up all the ski season and winter fun while you can at Peak 8. We’ll see you up there!
